Tehran, 2010.08.17

In Tehran, we kick it off with organising visas to next country on our way – Pakistan. Unfortunately, it seems impossible to get them right now, thus, after a short consultation, we decide to head for the embassy of India.

A truly crowded and chaotic place, where we manage to obtain visa forms as well as the information that we are required some extra documents: a confirmation of return plane ticket and confirmation of our identity issued by Polish embassy in Tehran. The first paper is surprisingly easy to get – a nearby tourist agency gave us what we needed right away at no cost at all (everybody knows this is a fake but nobody cares). The second document, however, meant a trip to the other part of town (we were going round in circles for a long time as miss telephone from the Polish Embassy couldn’t spell the name of the metro station correctly).

In the evening we arrive at Ali’s place – he is our couchsurfing host with whom we will be spending quite some time…

The day after we try to combat the Indian embassy again. Eventually we submit all the papers and get the promise to have the decision in a week.

Kolejny dzień to dzień walki z ambasadą Indii. Ostatecznie udaje się nam złożyć wszystkie papiery i uzyskać obietnicę otrzymania decyzji za tydzień.
